A locals' pub and not very friendly either. Rowdy. No need to go there really with the town centre so nearby

A sports bar, very spacious plenty of seating and screens, nice cheerful atmosphere. Can't complain... except not a great deal of beer selection

Seemed deafeningly loud, but an interesting decor inside that was quite pleasant. Lots of old people but a quirky interesting pub, only a few beers sadly

The Portsmouth Arms, Basingstoke
A real mixed bag. From the outside it looks lovely, and the inside is done up in an oldie woldie style that is pleasing to the eye. But there is just not enough space to sit inside really, all the beer while a good selection tastes awful and soapy, and the bar staff are unfriendly. Food is incredibly slow.

Very loud music, atmosphere geared towards younger/hardcore people. Couple of decent beers but won't be going back. Not that comfortable

Tiny pub and shabby, very much a locals' place but a few good beers, not too expensive and a pretty friendly atmosphere

The Oak, Oakridge
Great pub. Nice decor, friendly bar staff, cheap and tasty beer with a good selection. Clean seating. Sports screens. Pool table. Juke box. Impressive!
