The Black Horse, Chorleywood

Cracking Pub, Ive been coming here for around 3 months now. Very friendly Atmosphere. Very helpful staff, and some very friendly locals, which go out of their way to make you feel welcome. I have been to
A phew pubs over the years, and this really is a change from the rest. There just some happy buzz in the air. I have now made this my regular, and I hope the good friendship to continue. Very Dog friendly, a nice crisp pint. Prefect. Dave & Lotty

Black Horse Inn, Chesham Vale

To give the place a fair chance I popped in again, in the last couple of days. Im afraid that will be my last visit. The Beer was not up to standards still. I had a good close look around with reference to cleanliness.
Its still no better. The tables and Bar are sticky and there is the famous kitchen cloth being used for just about everything. Lovley!!!

This pub has changed hands in the last month or two, and my goodness it has gone down hill. Its has a cold, unwelcome fealing. Beer is well priced, but is reflected in that. Poor quality. You would do better from a Cost Cutter, or Supermarkets own brand. Its a real shame another pub has gone down hill so quickly. Its not very clean, smells, there is no outside seating any more. What a Shame!!!

I was lucky enough to stumble across this little gem when out on a dog walk. When entering the pub, the first thing that I really like was the feel of a warm traditional Inn.
Not youre typical ruined Gastro Pub. I had a pint of Guiness which was a very good
Pint, nice and crisp, and it was nice to see someone who new how to poor a pint correctly
Giving it time to settle, and be presented nicely without is poring all over the side of the glass. I was made to feel very welcome by the staff, with my dog being treated by what I have been told is the famous Dog Treat Pot. I decided to explore a little more, and was made aware that pub had a large garden at the rear. On opening the door, I got a WOW factor. There is around an Acre, poss and Acre and a Half, of very tidy, well kept garden. Fully fenced off, should you have children or dogs. As the weather was nice, I treated myself to a meal, choosing a roast. Food was served quickly, very good portions, and as for the meat, it was tender; nice crisp roast spuds, served with a generous portion of veg in a side bowl. Prices are very reasonable for the quality and quantity of food.
They have a good selection of Coffees etc for after. I have been back to this pub frequently and every time greeted with a warm welcome, good pint and very friendly locals.
