At least this pub knows how to treat its customers, i rang every rugby bar in wimbeldon, earlsfield, putney and southfields, the puzzle was the only venue showing the tri-nations match live at 8.30am and i even managed to have breakfast with a beer. Well done!!! and thanks every much for getting up early.

I definately disagree with the remark below, i have been visiting the pub for about 1 year and the puzle is nothing like how its described, maybe u were here along time ago. the pub is very busy during the rugby matches, but i personally think its the best pub in the area now with very friendly staff, great food and even better drink prices. its nice to be able to watch my local team this week [the Leopards] as no one is showing the currie cup as well as the Tri-nations match too.

The Leather Bottle, Earlsfield
The garden is much improved and good on a sunny day but the drinks are way to much and sometimes the service is slow. The puzzle has decent Ales on now and has smarted up their beer garden. sorry guys but i am visiting your pub less and less.

I agree with the other remarks, music to loud, over priced drinks and rubbish food, the best location in earlfield would have to be The Leather Bottle [even if the drinks are still over priced] and the Puzzle, who have finally spent some money doing the garden and the women toilets [according to my girlfriend]. I only visited the leather bottle because of its garden and sport at the Puzzle. but i am finding myself at the Puzzle more and more, as the drinks are cheaper [even cheaper now during happy hour] and the service is better. i now miss the halfway house out completely!!

Finally they have some sense in getting another doormen, after some very bad fights ver the recent weeks, at least they are doing something about it. unfortunatlely they still let idiots in tho but you cant have everything. lol

The food here has improved from before xmas, i like the BBQ on a saturday hopefully it will bring the weather with it!! great that i dont have to visit a walkabout now to watch the super 14's [even at 8am] and still watch the 6 nations too. Service good but can suffer during matches, beer prices are lower than most around which is good in these times. overall a clean place with good staff but can get crowded at weekends. thumbs up from me!

The worst staff in the area, never smile, always prefer talking to each other than serving customers and have little knowledge of the menu's.

What a difference a year makes, came here again for a works party [last year's was rubbish], great music, great service. salsa was great fun especially as its free. will be coming back very soon as i have got some NYE tickets

Cheeky, you must be an idiot with your last message, if you never go in there, how would you know what the venue looks like before and after the refit. you put negative remarks about most pubs in Twic and Hounslow, apart from if Mandy does the karoake [you were slagging of the Larkin before that]. How shallow are you? The Bar looks great andthe best part is the table service!! A bar in hounslow offering table service i cant beleive it!! . i have never felt threaten in here at night and its about time that Hounslow had a decent venue to go to. Now its open until 2am means i dont go the other rubbish venues in hounslow at midnight [but the funny thing is a see the same faces in Shannons, Larkin, The Moon and Wishing well as i do in yates so 'Cheeky', does that mean ALL pubs let in bad customers? i dont think so!! its about time Cheeky, you got a life?] I know several people that have been banned for over a year from yates and still cant get in yet i have seen several people gain access back into other bars regardless how many times they cause fights. i have not seen a fight in yates for months.
The pool tables, sky TV and karaoke are a great addination to the pub.

I disagree with the last comment made, we go every Friday and Saturday night here and see little to no trouble inside yates for about the 9 months and is the best place hounslow has to offer.

ok, great outside and if you want a drink, but not impressed when you are knicked downstairs because the bar staff want to clean up, even if there are no seats to sit downstairs and after spending over �250 in the group you would expect to sit for the remaining of the evening, so we will not be going back.

use to be ok, but now, it needs to sort the food menu out and drink prices. The beer gardn is it's only plus point.

I have been to several yates's round the country, but this one needs to sort itself out. I went at lunchtime and waited 10 mins at the bar, food took 25 mins and cold, no manager to be seen. To make it worse, the same group of people went back after work around 8pm and was turned away because there was not enough women with us!!!! 6 men and 2 women, all dress in suits as we are solicators, and just finished work. Hence none of us will be going back as there are plenty of bars happy to take our money.

Nice to have a change of music rather than the same songs in the same order every friday. Great to see 1 of my friends win the holiday, last week. its about time it got a pool table, but shame it doesnt have Sky sports. I disagree with the last commit on here, its good to see the manager driving the trouble makes out, finally.

nice to see someone is trying to bring this place up to standards and clear out some of the idiots that were getting in. need to talk the new owners into a paint job and open the kitchen, there is no decent places to eat round here.
