The Royal Oak Inn, Cartmel

This pub had a much needed re-furbishement a few years ago and it is now a really nice pub to eat and drink in. Does nice pint of Black Sheep and has other guest beers. Well worth a visit along with the other pubs in the village.

The Five Bells, Wootton Bassett

Still the best pub in town and probably the district with excellent range of real ales. Just what a proper boozer should be like!

Smugglers Inn, Osmington Mills

great pub on a sunny day - nice beer garden and decent ales (Lemony Cricket was pretty good). Food good as well. A must if you are in the area or walking the coastal path.

The Boot, Weymouth

Visited in June - well worth the short trek out of town to find this pub. Some excellent Ales and rather strange looking Cider that is surprsingly very easy drinking. Interesting mix of customers!
