Dog and Gun, Keswick

Wonderful pub. Best beer in Keswick and the foods not bad either, you must try the Goulash. Beers from Keswick and Coniston breweries plus plenty of guest beers. Allways very busy, get here early to find a seat.

The Castle Tavern, Inverness

Wonderful pub, best in Inverness by a long way. Great beer, great food and great staff. I was in town for the marathon and I had the good luck to find the pubs beer festival on. Plenty of Scottish real ale took the pain out of my legs!. Can't wait to go back next year.

Langtry's, Nottingham

Good grief. Another terrible evening in Langtrys. Beer warm and flat (again). Sent the first pint, Rudgate Viking back, replaced by Black Sheep, had to pay the 10p extra but this was even worse. What is the point of selling 8 beers if you cant keep 1 in good condition?. The bar staff know nothing about beer, all they care about is food at lunch time. Scrufy pub, crap beer. Sorry Langtrys, I aint coming back.

Horse Chestnut, Radcliffe on Trent

Wonderful pub, best in Radcliffe by a long way. Good selection of real beers usually about ten on. Good food and a friendly crowd of regulars. Well worth the 20 minute bus ride from Nottingham.

The New Dungeon Ghyll Hotel, Langdale

Wonderful pub. Great choice of beers, basic but good food. Sitting outside with a pint on a warm summers evening after a good day on the hills....heaven!.

Langtry's, Nottingham

Former good pub well passed it's sell by date. Badly in need of a refurb (the toilets are disgusting). Boring choice of average quality beers and uninterested bar staff. Wake up Langtrys.

The Kings Arms, Hawkshead

Best pub in Hawkshead. Five excellent beers, two Hawkshead two Coniston and a guest from York when I visited last week. Good food and very friendly bar staff. Mind your head on the low beams!. Great pub to sit outside on a summers evening.

The Lincolnshire Poacher, Nottingham

Best pub in Nottingham. Great selection of 10 ever changing beers, no two nights are the same. Huge range of whiskies and good food. Free live music most Sunday nights. Well worth the short walk from the city centre.
