I stay in Hayle regulary would recommend The Bucket of Blood Traditional Cornish Pub Great food, Beer looked after HSD, Proper Job on tap the guvnor can be a bit surly and stand offish but as a regular cornish visitor I can tell you that a lot of the Cornish are like that with strangers. the landlady was very friendly though along with other bar staff Highly recommended

was in there last april for a week and the previous july for a week. lovely location can't get a phone signal, pub had a problem the last time I visited 2 fights involving locals extended family cousins quarelling amongst themselves but as a location goes it can't be bettered good beer London Pride and Old Speckled Hen on tap well lookked after.

was a good pub few years back when brian was running it friendly good beer clean good characters not been ther a while

is it really closed down? used to drink regulary there in the 80s when jim was landlord was always busy and no trouble what a shame

My Favourite pub in St ives which is my Favourite Cornish town the pub has changed a lot over the years was run by same landlady for yonks was always very busy could not move in either bar once upon a time not so busy now but still the best pub in St ives current landlady was a former customer she works there with her brother and son very friendly still.

quite friendly pub apart from the long haired welshman who is normally propping up the bar during the day no food but clean and decent average priced pint

The Bluffs, Hayle
The only thing going for this place is the spectacular views beer and food rubbish it is owned by Haven's and run by them completely souless if taken over by a tenant who actually cares about his business and clients it would be an absolute gold mine the property alone is worth a couple of million at least so it is not going to happen. shame
