The Berrylands, Berrylands

a friend posted a comment which was not like the gushing responses currently seen, oddly enough these posts are no longer on here.

Anyway back to the pub, i am throughly disappointed with this pub, the atmosphere what little there was has completely disappeared it is really quite a depressing place to be now. Fodd not all the impressive had a steak sandwich which was all chewy and fatty. There are a few good bar staff but manager is very unfriendly and not welcoming at all.

Something needs to change and i would suggest the manager. Also very expensive.

The Druid's Head, Kingston Upon Thames

weird pub, the apes on the door kept coming up to the section of pub we were in and threaning to throw us out for smoking in a non smoking place, did ask where the signs were to indicate this and was ignored, however did hear him on his walkie talkie telling them to put signs up. avoid

if you're looking for a pub with a nice atmosphere, lively people, friendly service. don't bother with this place. A wave a depression hoovers over the placce and you will feel utterly depressed upon leaving. Also full a creep old drunks, one of whom would not leave me alone and kept shouting football abuse at the guy i was with for some unknown reason.

The Coronation Hall, Surbiton

this is a vulgar place, full or vulgar people. For some strange reason they have also decided that a good idea in a pub this size is to make the smoking section a long corridor in the middle, where you can never get a seat and is always packed, where in the vast no smoking areas an echo can be heard. Stupid idea. Whenever i have been there, they have always run out of at least one thing that someone i'm with is drinking.
Avoid it.

Brave New World, Surbiton

I like this place, even though it is rarely busy and doesn't seem to have an atmosphere. But the bar staff have always been friendly and quick to serve. If you go there with a group of friends for a quite night perfect.

Have been going to this pub for years and have to say that the new look is fantastic, looks a lot better, however there is still no atmosphere in here and although the new managers may be more friendly than the last ones, they're customer service skills are still not great, can be rude and dismissive. Food is nice and beer ok but not a friendly place that welcomes you in. still needs improvement
