The Watering Hole, Perranporth

Love this place. Right on the beach, great choice of beer ( I love Leffe and the have it on tap....happy days!)
Huge portions of food.
All you need is sun....well if not...sit inside.
We head the 250miles to Perranporth just to get that 'Watering Hole' feeling. Fantastic!!!

The Prince, Crowthorne

Nice friendly staff.
Food inexpensive, (you do in this instance get what you pay for!!) Mostly brought in brakes type thing.
Interior could do with updating, furniture and decor tired.

The Crown and Cushion, Blackwater

We had seen this pub many times, passing to get on the M3 as its right on the junction. Decided to give it a go one day and we were greeted by the then, new landlords who had just taken over (this must be almost two years ago ish now.)

We have been back regularly since. The food has got to be among the best 'pub food' out there and is fairly priced for the quality you receive. We have NEVER had a bad meal.

The pub itself is beautiful, has loads of history and is sat next to a cricket field. We have spent many a Sunday, in the garden watching the cricket enjoying a fantastic roast (with the HUGEST Yorkshire pud you have ever seen.) The interior decor for special occasions such as Halloween and Christmas are all done in house by the Landlord, no sign of tat here, very tasteful!

In my opinion it well deserves the two awards it has won over subsequent years. I have recommended it to many friends who have all had a lovely meal and been back.

Its just shame that not all pubs live up to this standard and whilst you 'cant please every one all of the time', appreciated, if you love food, you'll love it here!!!
