Probably one of the worst pub lunches I've EVER had! A very old fashioned menu with a limited choice of basic pub grub and sandwiches. The Chicken Caesar salad came with baby gem lettuce, bacon, red peppers, olives, celery and onion but no traditional cos lettuce, very little chicken, no Caesar dressing or parmesan! A total waste of money. Won�t be returning in a hurry.

The pub looks lovely from the outside. Inside it's quite dark. We ordered food and then noticed that inside walls etc are dirty. My feet stuck to the carpet in the ladies - yeuk! The food was less than average.

Very nice but way way too expensive!! �17 for a sirloin steak & chips but had to pay extra �1.95 for sauce plus �3 for veg!!

Really great pub. Food is superb and reasonably priced. Beer is always first rate. Friendly atmosphere, always made to feel welcome. Place is so clean!

The New Helsby Arms, Helsby
This place just got even better - they're having a January Sale with most of the mains half price. Sign of the times maybe but great for customers!
