The Barley Mow, Epsom

Beer is still pretty good and the garden great for the summer. However, it's lost the friendly inviting atmosphere it used to have - staff don't really care and don't know how to serve people in turn and when the miserable so and so of a Landlord appears from the kitchen his favourite pastime is to wander round the place glaring at the customers.

Ye Olde Kings Head, Epsom

A pub that knows exactly what it is - a quiet backstreet locals pub that does good quality home made food - and doesn't try to be anything more. Beer is always well kept. Given that there's a specials board as well as menu with usual pub grub, a little odd that there's no veggie food apparent - until you ask at the bar when the chef will then offer a choice of dishes made to order.

The Railway Guard, Epsom

My favourite locals pub in epsom. An excellent range of ales changed weekly, friendly staff and locals. Great atmosphere for watching rugby and footie.

The Kings Arms, Epsom

Ok so you do get some of epsom's more unfortunate souls in there, but that is more than compensated for - the beer is always spot on, good food, the staff friendly (something of a rarity in epsom) and a top landlord who really know his stuff.
