University Arms, Sheffield

Great pub. Good beer, friendly staff, pleasant atmosphere. Food's also good. Surely a contender for the Good Beer Guide!

The Crown Hotel, Horwich

I think the Crown is a great pub. The beer is always kept perfectly - as you'd expect from a pub with so many years in the good beer guide. The staff are excellent - friendly, efficient, and attractive - especially that young man with a beard! good Landlord and lady as well - people have posted that Gary is grumpy, but they just have him misunderstood, I'd describe him as cantankerous, grouchy, and snappy. But certainly not grumpy!
