The Knights Quest, Rowley Regis

Good family run pub. Gerry, Jane & Rachel (chef) nice people. Well kept beers.
Daily carvery 2.95 in week looks very good but haven't tried it, and a well priced menu besides.
Entertainment every night which I have experienced and enjoyed immensely. Lot of live acts as well as karaoke.
Recommend a visit.

Went here for the first time last Tuesday evening for a pool tournament. Good beer/lager Banks's Mild and Kronenburg. Food provided for pool team looked very good and was well received.
Went back today (lunchtime). Pub very quiet (aren't they all these days), Beer/lager still very good. Well priced menu tho' didn't try anything.
Pleasant folks running it.

The Major from Glengarry, Weston Super Mare

Stumbled across this quite by chance and very glad I did. Tucked away up the side road by the Nook & Harbour so not very visible.
Lots of timber and spacious.
Made very welcome, very good beers. Didn't try the food, too late, but the chap behind the bar was very helpful in pointing out local eateries serving all day.
Went back that evening to sample dj's rendering and of course the beer, right up my street, and great atmosphere. Highly recommended.

The Decker, East Looe

Only eaten here and very impressed. 8oz Rump Steak 3.99 (at given times) and first class. Recommended by locals to us. After being ripped off everywhere this made a refreshing change.

Cricketers, Worcester

Agree with Clive_Pendleton, very good pub spoiled by some of it's clientele, tho' I did not see any problems when I was there. Very good manager, and good range of beer. My pint of dark wasn't up to scratch. Rather than complain (very British you see) I went and got an alternative drink. How the manager noticed I don't know but he arrived at the table with a fresh pint and full refund. I can recommend him and the pub as long as you are not put off by "rough looking" crowd.

The Sun Inn, Romsley

Decent pub for food but the gaffer and his wife are an acquired taste.

The Wildmoor Oak, Wildmoor

After 2 years sub. Feeny's days ( between Terry Feeny and now, a disaster!) we went back and pleasantly surprised. Run by Lorenzo, good natured, big Jamaican? offerng Caribbean food and decent real ale. We're going back. Look out for Monty the pub cat, still think Lorenzo has designs on Monty for a curry!
Highly recommended.

The Deer Leap, Exmouth

July 2007. Great food well priced, decent staff and good selection of beers. We found this to be the best value place in Exmouth and highly recommend it.

The Anchor, Cockwood

Dissappointing. Earmarked this for a second visit after calling for a drink a few weeks ago. Olde worlde, low beamed pub with plenty of atmosphere. Most tables reserved so lucky to get seated. Decent range of drinks and reasonably friendly staff (better staff a few weeks ago). Ordered food, didn't have to wait long but it didn't live up to the popularity of the place. I had Game Pie, the game had obviously escaped, under done veggies.Wife had Gammon which she said was nice but difficult to decide what the accompaniment was. Big let down when we had made a special effort to return. Car-parking appalling by the way.
