Manger, Bradfield Combust

A lovely country pub that serves very good food. The staff were very friendly and the food was home cooked and very tasty!

The Fur and Feather Inn, Woodbastwick

An absolute gem of a pub. The staff couldn't possibly have been more friendly and helpful, the selection of food was fantastic and of superb quality, and the range of Woodfordes' beers was to die for! I have never visited before but will certainly return. Even when we visited on a very wet Monday lunchtime in September it was pretty busy, and that's got to be a good sign considering it really is in the middle of nowhere!!

The George Hotel, Castleton

Fantastic pub. After a long walk it was great to find a pub with local, well kept beer (on this occasion, Blackthorn Ale from Thornbridge Hall Brewery), very good food and friendly bar staff. Ten out of ten! I will return on my next trip!

The Old Cannon Brewery, Bury St Edmunds

Fantastic pub and restaurant, easily the best in Bury, and now completely non-smoking too. Great beer brewed on the premises, and always have at least one guest ale on as well. Food is also top quality, not the cheapest, but well worth the money. Highly recommended!

The Star Inn, Lidgate

Superb pub and restaurant. Lovely, Suffolk pink painted thatched character building with large open fire in the main bar area, and a menu to die for! The landlady is Spanish, so the food is a nice mix of Spanish and traditional English food. I'd highly recommend the Paella for any seafood lovers. Greene King ales prevail together with a few more unusual lagers and an amazing wine list. Sunday lunch menu is 3 courses for 15.50, with a choice of 5 starters, 5 mains and about 12 or 15 homemade desserts. I'd recommend this pub/restaurant to anyone. Not to be missed!

The Fox and Hounds, Bradfield St George

A rural gem of a pub! A freehouse with four constantly changing ales on tap always. Great atmosphere, friendly landlord and landlady and home cooked real food! Well worth a visit.

The Old Nags Head, Edale

A lovely building in a fantastic position. I went here for a meal earlier this month with two friends. The first meal came out within seconds, (obviously microwaved), the other two arrived a full 20 minutes later!! The beer was also very bland and flavourless. Half of the pub is a 'family room' with cartoon characters everywhere. A very tacky and nasty room with no children in sight!! Such a shame. Could be a lovely pub if some thought and effort was put in.
