The Feathers, St James's

Not impressed at all. It was a busy Saturday, it was crowded, but how long do they expect people to wait to be served? We left bemused by the lack of 'everything'!

The Albert, Victoria

We were not impressed by what is essentially a tourist Pub. Poorly kept ales and perhaps understaffed. The food, which is why we dropped in, looked very unappetising. It is a lovely building and could be a great venue, how sad.

The Peacock, Tower Hill

Obviously a Marmite Pub, but we loved it. Great beer and friendly staff and customers. It was nice to see some unusual ales on too, as Gatelad said, it is not cheap, though average of what we seen of the area, there again, we stayed on the local stuff which was coming in at under 3.00 per pint and was very good indeed. Shame there is no outside area and it is closed at weekends though.

The Chamberlain Hotel, Aldgate

Our hotel bar, and it did feel like it. As has been said before, the beer is a little on the steep side considering it is a Fullers establishment. The place is of course very clean and new looking, but the staff are not up to the job.

The Still and Star, Aldgate

All the comment here seems extant. It was lovely to stand outside and enjoy the sun last Friday and was very busy indeed. Good though very ordinary drink selection, ale was in good for. Let down by the staff, the 2 barmaids may have been under pressure, but they had an extremely bad attitude, particularly the skinnier one who I think viewed us as an inconvenice

The White Hart, Bishopsgate

Nice enough place with pleasant staff and a reasonable pint, obviously it is kept busy due to its proximity to the station. All in all, a reasonable place.

Prince Arthur, Euston

Handy for Eutson station and less madding crowd than the one down the road. Pleasant enough place; though the toilets could do with some work. Reasonable ales and outside seating. Worth a visit.
