The Bell Inn, Iden

visited while renting a holiday cottage locally in October, really nice young couple running it now, had one of the best meals i have ever eaten so came again 2 days later and was even better, Old Dairy Red top was in great form and the the best pint of Harveys I've ever had. Roaring fire, dog friendly, cannot fault the place.

The Ash Tree Inn, Battle

Visited last week while on a short break in the area, Tuesday night so fairly quiet, but got steadily more busy as the evening went on, dog friendly and serve good food, well priced, the two girls working on the night were courteous ,very helpful and a credit to the place. Good pint of Harveys, and the wine good quality as well. Hard to find, but well worth the effort. 10/10 from me.

The Old Anchor, Twickenham

Went in to the Anchor last night ,The pub has been sold by Youngs to an investment company, sale completed yesterday, and the landlords have a 6 month lease with the new owners whilst they make plans for the site, the landlord says the pub is a FREEHOUSE now, so must try to visit more often. Had a cracking pint of Ringwood 49r....

The Marble Hill, St Margarets

saw the Youngs signs being removed the other day, so the sale has obviously gone though, but the holding tenant has been given notice to quit from what the regulars have said ???

The Masons Arms, Teddington

great to see an old back street pub being given a new lease of life, the landlady Rae is a cracking girl, and keeps a damn fine pint. Cant wait to see the place when the refurb is finished as havent been in for a few months (no dogs allowed). Blissfully free of the local chavs too.

St Margarets Tavern, St Margarets

bgareth, your obviously deeply ignorant and rude , and the pub is no doubt better off without you. If you want to eat your own food, go home ! Dont go into an establishment that sells food and think you can do whatever you want just because you bought a drink, the people who work there depend on customers buying from the pub, if you cant comprehend that, then go and eat your food down by the river with the can of kestrel Extra also in your tesco bag....with all the other loser's.Try that shit in Pizza Express and see how long your in there.

The Pope's Grotto, Twickenham

going to be even more like an airport lounge soon, youngs are building a greenhouse on the front and changing the name to The Alexander, local landmark or not.

The Adelaide, Teddington

couldn't disagree with froosh more, the adelaide is a great pub since Dermot took control, he takes no messing, which is as it should be, and keeps a great clean and friendly house, anyone remember the place before he took over? it was bloody terrible.
