The Soldiers Return, West Ruislip

This is a beautiful pub opposite the not so beautiful base! Beer garden is nice, child friendly in summer too. Check out those BBQs. Lemonade is great, beer is even better, and best of all, their dinners. Its nearly lunchtime as I type this and my mouth is watering for one of their steak and kidney suet puddings or pies, whatever it was! A superb atmosphere for watching live sport too. A must for any public house fans in the Ickenham/Ruislip area, but go during the day if you want to eat in peaceful surroundings.

The Falcon Inn, Denham

Denham is just the most gorgeous English village and you really must check it out. As for its pubs, the Falcn Inn is my favourite, for its beer garden alone, but also there was this fit Scandanavian or continential blonde girl working in there to add to the experience! ha ha! Shame though, the lemonade she served me tasted more like fizzy water, but I seemingly stupidly had lemonade from thee again, and it was much nicer! Grub is nice. Unable to comment on the beer though, so I guess to many, my post for this pub is pretty damn pointless!

Five Bells, Harmondsworth

Gorgeous old pub, dinners and drink are absolutely superb and they seem very friendly. Went in there on my own at quite a young age once and I got served.
I really hope Harmondsworth doesnt disappear for the third runway, the quaint old English village is part of my history!

The Swallow, Hillingdon

Crappy tacky looking place. Hate walking past it at night, for fear that some drunken Irishman or Scotsman will run out and have a go at me, cos I know for a fact some of the regulars are quite fierce. But Im certainly not generalising, and great meeting point before a tube journey. About all I can say though!

Tichenham Inn, Ickenham

This pub has a nice atmosphere and its a great hotspot for a night out in Ickenham. I would say it is a beautiful old looking place, but trendy at the same time. Lovely mix. The beer is cold...but so are their staff, not just to yobbish youngsters, but to some elderly people I know too. Also, they are way too strict in my opinion regarding ID and kicking people out at 9 etc. But lets not end on a low note, I'd reccommend the Tich to anyone who likes good drink and value for money dinners in Ickenham, Hillingdon, Uxbridge or Ruislip.

The Good Yarn, Uxbridge

I like this pub alot and its atmosphere. Great value for money, and staff seem reasonable, which I regret to say is rare in any food/drink/catering chain. Good selection of booze, its rarely a case of "we dont do that stuff". Food is devine for its price.

Great hotspot for a night out in Uxbridge, but under 18s, or over 18s without ID, be prepared to be kicked out at 9.
