The Coopers Cask, Brighton

Splendid little boozer: Simon is the perfect host for an afternoon session, watching the world go by with a few beers and classic tunes from his i-pod!!

Fountainhead, Brighton

Ok-ish pub for an early afternoon beer or two: don't try Sunday Night, though or you may come across the "Quizmaster"!! Dear, oh dear - sense of humour by-pass, that chap!

The Fishbowl, Brighton

Superb visit to this boozer last Saturday; friendly service, great choice of beer & cider and the food was delicious with a capital "D". Oh, yes, not often i say this about a Brighton pub, but "Top Marks"!! Will return next week to try the Thai Red Curry.

The Temple Bar, Brighton

Re-opened as Star & Sailor minus the screens and pool tables as a gastro-type-pub and has suffered as a result. Another example of rip-off Brighton; 3.20 for Guinness and 3.10 for Becks Vier all served up with an air of indifference by the barman who was struggling to keep his eyes open. Fake.

The Duke of Norfolk, Brighton

This is not a bad place for a beer or two as it has a decent selection of draught beers, but the food leaves a lot to be desired...a 40-minute wait for two burgers on a tuesday afternoon is really not good enough. And when the "home-made" burgers eventually arrive, they are no bigger than the ones i dish up for my 5-year old and her mates!!! But not as tasty. Six or seven quid a go??? Dreadful, needs sorting out...
