The Tooting Tram & Social, Tooting
Well, the Tooting Tram & Social opened on 7th November, what a difference!! Totally fantastic! It was packed on the first night, revisited Saturday and it was the same story! Restaurant is not open yet, but it is meant to be up and running within a couple of weeks. Very welcoming and no sign of the old (or should I say very YOUNG) crowd that frequented it previously. Friendly staff, funky atmosphere, fab decor and at last NICE loos!

Is it a coincidence the last 3 reviews were anonymous? I have found the staff perfectly ok, particularly the young aussie guy. Anyway, tried their new global tapas menu last week and have to say it was excellent and very reasonably priced.

Tramshed has closed down, but I hear is going to re open in a couple of months under new private ownership! Fingers crossed, Tooting seems to be moving in the right direction, so hopefully someone with that vision has bought it!

Hey, just read about the bbc in rise magazine, apparently the Chef was shortlisted for an Award for most innovative menu - oh and I agree, the duck pancakes are to die for!
