The Three Horseshoes, Marlow

Better known as a pub restaurant, beer is excellent from local brewery.
Food is variable from good to excellent, maybe just one bad night with the ribs which are normally excellent and always good value.
Check opening times, don't think it opens on Sunday evening which is a shame but mid-week it is busy and has a large bar area if you 'just' want a beer.

The Bear, Maidenhead

Excellent range of good beers, JDW food is JDW food but for the price it is a fine way to spend the evening.
Staff were attentive and pointed out that there was more selection around the corner with four more beers not on the front pumps !!!
Enjoyed an excellent cheeky pint of Abbot waiting for my wife to come into town, must do that more often.
Daughters tell me the upstairs seating is great and the breakfasts are spot on, must try that one Saturday.

Thatched Cottage, Maidenhead

Strange pub, staff and locals are not welcoming at all and I have lived in the area 20 years !!!!

The Barley Mow, Cox Green

Lively pub, good service with staff attentive to customers. If music is a bit loud then it gets turned down!!!
Excellent choice of beers from local brewery as well as national standards like London Pride.
Quiz Night is Tuesdays when it can get really busy on occasions.
Not eaten there for years

The Foresters, Cox Green

Unbelievably this pub has got worse since Geoff left, at least Geoff looked after the beer! Service is atrocious from some bar staff who spend their time, like the landlady, on their mobiles barely registering customers who are at the bar.
Later in the evening expect to be assaulted by cleaning fluid sprayed around you or bar staff dousing themselves with perfume.
Due to become more food orientated, given the above it is difficult to imagine eating in here.
The locals are great and deserve so much better.
