The Royal Oak, Bath

This is a real oasis. A fantastic real pub. No airs and graces just good, well kept ale and cider. If you visit Bath you should give this a go. A little way out of the centre of Bath but well worth the wander or short drive.

Ales when I visited:
Barbus Barbus, Jester, Keel Over, Porthleven, Smart Arse, Spring Dayz, Butt's Traditional

Ciders when I visited:
Kingston Press, Firedancer and a few more but can't remember!

Perrys when I visited:
Beesting

Fantastic friendly bar team, good location and very friendly regulars make this a lovely pub to visit whether rain or shine? If you do one thing when visiting Bath before you die, visit this wonderful traditional pub with lots of atmosphere and chatty locals. Thanks to Chris the landlord and all his staff for being such a knowledgeable and affable host!

The Old Green Tree, Bath

mikey64 - You must have had a good time in The Old Green Tree, there are only two rooms and 1 bar. Always has been , always will be - not 3! Beer is good in there eh?

The Raven, Bath

What a lovely pub The Raven is. I always try and drop in if I can because their selection of beer for a small city centre pub is second to none and if you are there for long enough you will witness it change and evolve as the afternoon/evening progresses!

There is always a welcoming atmosphere and the attentive bar staff certainly know about their beer. The food looks magnificent although I must confess I didn't try anything but the smell and the empty plates were good enough for me to know it must be very good. All in all The Raven is a pub not to miss for me.

The Hat and Feather, Bath

RE: THE HUDSON'S BAR & GRILL.

A bunch of the old Hat & Feather regulars set up a Hat & Feather reunion night for 1 night only on 21st MARCH 2009.

Lots of people turned up and all was going well until the new Landlord of Hudson's Bar & Grill, Richard Fenton called the police. Why? Because there were too many people in his bar and they were disturbing his customers who were eating!

I'll leave you all to make your own mind up about Richard Fenton and his very sad Hudson's Bar & Grill and the pitiful regular clientle he attracts.

On a plus point he was told by the police that it was one of the nicest pub crowds that they had encountered that evening and he, Richard Fenton, was wasting the police's time!

Oh! yes I forgot to mention. The beer is awful and the drinks are severely overpriced and to top it all the staff are terrible.

The Raven, Bath

Just to put the record straight there are 10 real ales on at all times in the Raven. There are 5 on the downstairs bar and another 5 on the upstairs bar. All kept in tip top condition by the very friendly and helpful staff. Definitely one of the must visit pubs in Bath!
