Would just like to say have just been back to the Albion for their September beer festival. 25 beers +9 ciders and 2 perries. Excellent range and beer in very good condition. Served both on 9 handpulls in bar and on gravity in Stables bar outside. Good homemade food sold and homemade pies to die for. Didn't get the wet dog smell and the band only practice on Saturday afternoons. Just been told a folk club is starting up on Sunday evenings as wellso lots going on.
By the way I believe the building is Grade 2 listed so rooms can't be knocked through and the guy with the long hair is the very hard working and knowledgeable manager. Try talking to him instead of calling him names.

Beer Festival coming up 22nd -25th October 2009. If it's anything like the first 6 it will be great, over 25 beers good food and entertainment too. See you there.

Now serving brunches Sat and Sunday till 4pm with fantastic sausages and a vegetarian option, as well as weekday lunches. Beer and staff better than ever and bottled Wapping beers now on sale. Well worth a visit if you like a friendly, homely atmosphere. No large screen TV or background music.

this pub has just been taken over by a new landlord who has reinstated sunday lunches (excellent) and lunch time food. The beer is as good as ever and the welcome is friendly. Who cares about the furnishings until he can afford to buy some new.

Are you trying to close this pub down?
I bet the landlord and his staff are thrilled you are airing your public war of words on what is supposed to be a site reviewing pubs, not your personal views on CAMRA or any other organisation. For everyone else's information, not all us customers bicker and argue when we are in the Albion, we are like any other group of punters, enjoying a great pint and good food in a sometimes quiet, sometimes noisy, pub. the range of beers in fantastic and always unusual as the landlord sources them himself and they have just won the local area Cider Pub of the Year so they must be doing something right.
