agree with alex_w, service not great but ales up to standard, nice to see well renovated and not turned into gastro pub!

Good pub, good selection of ales, friendly staff and convenient for work nearby.

The Bull, Little Thurrock
Visited this pub for the first time in years, the crowds have gone but unfortunately the bad service remains. About a dozen customers scattered around pub, waited at bar for ages before looking around corner to find two bar-staff reading a newspaper! Left after listening to one of the governor's grey haired cronies telling racist jokes.
No wonder the customers have gone, couldn't run a 'what you might call it' in a brewery.
