on my last visit the toilets were vile. no locks on most of the doors and there was tissue and rubbish everywhere. a member of staff came in while i was in there and despite the obvious mess did nothing about it.

not great, quite quiet, staff are a bit idiotic though and they randomly change the drinking age to 21 when they feel like it

completely changed for the better in that all the chavs and unerage drinkers have gone. seems very quiet, caverys are nice though for a family meal

the actual place is alright, although drinks arent that cheap. the doormen are horrible though, have bad attitudes and a 'if i feel like it' policy towards letting people in. they really let the place down

to anonymous - i don't know which pub you've been visiting but it certainly isn't this one! staying anonymous for a reason? i doubt very much they ever ran out of ice, as most pubs have an ice machine which drops ice constantly throughout the day. ales also have to be thouroughly cleaned when they run out so it was probably just a bad one-off coincidence that some ran out at the same time. i've never known plates to be left on the table till closing, as there always seem to be at least one or two members of staff constantly cleaning and collecting glasses. overly-critical i think.

completely disagree with the other comments, have visited this pub fairly regularly over the last few months and have always found the drink, food and staff all to be excellent. of course there are old men and occasionally chavs but you get that at every pub. the staff seem very vigilant and troublemakers are not encouraged. they also have doormen on at weekends. large pub with a nice cosy atmosphere
