The Alma Inn, Scarborough

Yes I'm back again in my favourite Scarborough pub. Been coming here to Scarborough once or twice per year since '93 and popped into the Alma every time. but still no complaints! Only problem us it can be slightly hard to find but follow the directions in previous reviews and you can't go wrong - Cheers !

The Alma Inn, Scarborough

Only gave it 9/10 (should be 9.99/10 really) as don't want the landlord to sit back on his laurels too much! My 2nd review and pub gets better, great beer (Temptation, Englands Pride, Black Sheep & Old Rosie cider), Still v handy for station & town centre but with it being down back street so you don't get all the riff raff. I've been in every day while on this holiday so can't be too bad - well worth a visit!

The Alma Inn, Scarborough

Just got off the train at Scarborough and within 5 minuits I was being served a pint of Lancaster in excellent form. This is my second revue but I think it warrants it as this must be the ideal pub - very handy for the Station but away from the seafront so not too busy but not too quiet. Four real ales on at the moment. Also a lot of effort has been spent creating the right atmosphere with various jugs and other artefacts hanging from the ceiling (not quite sure what halve of them are!). I'll definetly return during the rest of my week's holiday here.

Marine Hall, Fleetwood

Just tried to visit this pub but the bartender told me it's now no longer open to the general public but its only open for booked functions. It appears there was a wedding reception on at the time of my visit, otherwise it would probably of been shut! A pity really as it had been a great pub when I first visited a few years ago.

Indigo Alley, Scarborough

V pleasant pub, only 3 real ales on at time of visit but all in good condition. Nice to see pub open again!

Roebuck Tavern, Sheffield

As a visitor to Sheffield I quite like this pub, nothing particularly special but a bit better than average. Has 3 real ales on at moment, 2 are local Kelham Island ones & other is Black Sheep and whenever I've visited in the past the've always been in good form. It has a beer garden at the front where you can watch people (& traffic) go by. (Not sampled food yet but menu looks OK.) All in all it does as it says on the tin and then some.

The Marsh House Inn, Marsh

Was a good pub but now closed - being converted into shops by look of it

The Alma Inn, Scarborough

I've been visiting this pub every time I've been in Scarborough since 1993 and I've always found the beers to be in excellent condition and cannot agree with earlier comments, and always look forward to visiting this favourite watering hole!
