The Fareham, Fareham

Pub changed hands many times in the last year. Used to be a good place for food now no food and no proper manager. What a shame. Soon the only pubs anywhere will be Wetherspoons. Good price drinks but food abysmal!

The Castle in The Air, Fareham

I also like this pub and am pleased it's off the "main drag". I think the food is really good and the service. My only gripe is that it does not serve food in the evening, if it did it would be a regular for me.

Lord Arthur Lee, Fareham

When this pub opened it was really good. Cheap beer, cheap food, a nice place to be. Over the years with bad management the declining standard of food (aren't the chips awful)and poor service (where do the get them from!!!) this probably IS the worst pub in Fareham. However it is nice to sit out the back on a sunny day.

The Fareham, Fareham

Been going here for a long time. Food is really good and reasonable. Recently it's got loud and noisy and the staff don't do anything about it. I don't begrudge any one a good time but there are limits. Haven't bothered going recently.

King Lud, Ryde

I think this pub is a suprise it doesn't look much from the outside but inside is clean and tidy and fairly quiet for a seafront pub have eaten here and found the food to be good. Nice to wait in here for the last bus home.

The Old Fort, Seaview

I love this place on a nice day. Not too keen on sitting inside as it feelsa but cluttered but the food is nice and to be able to take your drinks outside and sit by the sea and yacht club with all that is going on around you is an ideal afternoon.

The Wishing Well, Pondwell

We visited this pub several times whilst staying at Pondwell Self Catering Park and have been very pleased with the food service and general ambience However last Sept (2006) when we made our usual visit it was a completely different place, empty and disinterested staff. I think it may have changed hands. We had a quick drink and left. We will probably give it another chance on our next visit and hope for better things.

The Dairymans Daughter, Arreton

We visited this pub for the first time Sept 2006 (looks like we've been following Dave around)in fact we visited it twice while we were on the island. I have only praise for the varied menu large portions and ambient surroundings. Lovely. We hope to visit again this year.

The Snooty Fox, Brading

This used to be our favourite pub and eatery on the island visited many times and never had cause for complaint at any time. On our last visit Sept 2006 we discovered it had changed hands and was now called the Smart Fox but we decided to give it a chance. Oh what a disappointment everything had changed and our experience was pretty much as described by Dave-20 Aug 2006 (although we did not get our money back)We will not go there again! Does anyone know if the previous owners have taken on another pub on the island. Please let me know!!!
