The Thomas Lord, West Meon

Celebrated a 40th birthday party there with a large extended family booking - staff could not have been more helpful. Excellent food and service, and all requests expertley catered for. Lovely pub and great gardens - up there with the best.

The Bat and Ball, Boundstone

Nice looking bar, in pretty local location. Spoilt by high prices e.g. recent trip 1 x Bulmers (naff I know but no decent ciders on) and two kids apple juices (from a cheap looking open carton) ..... 8 (EIGHT POUNDS). Went home and had the second round in the garden .....

The Hen and Chicken, Upper Froyle

Drove past it for years without giving it a thought - eventually plucked up the courage. Found it to be one of the most homely, well presented, tasty, dog friendly, children friendly, good value pubs that we've ventured into (and there have many). A winning formula, lots of nice touches - planning to go their on Christmas day.

Bull Inn, Bentley

Used to go here a while back for the pub grub, all seemed to get a bit stale - but heard it had a refurb and earlier comments seemed positive.

Well .... what a disappointment. Drab tastless food, poorly cooked and presented, staff with little or no experience (wine presented in the bottle and left unopened).

Wasted my cash, sad.

The Spotted Cow, Lower Bourne

Stumbled across by chance, hidden away loaction which adds to its charm

Nice place, not quite the gastro pub it makes out to be - food ok but could be much more.

Very quiet on the Sat night we visited, lacking in ambience and feels a bit amateurish - like someones plaything they've got a little bored with.

A new injection of energy / re-launch could do it a power of good ...

We'll be back put not quite on the 'regular list'

The Hare and Hounds, Rowledge

Fantastic gastro pub - just couldn't believe it was so quiet on a saturday night...

Looks a bit stuffy and landlord a grumpy git, but this just add to its charm.

Well worth a visit and it really surprised us, wil go again and again and again ...

The Sandrock, Boundstone

Recently refurbished

Drinks prices ridiculous = 2.40 a shot of vodka 4.80 a double !!! That refurbishment price must have been sky high ....

When queried with landlord, tried to compare themselves to the nearby bat and ball ...

Cheap pub, with bad attitude - avoid at all costs. Totaly misrepresnation of the pub it should be
