The Bath Arms, Brighton

This pub is the benchmark that all pubs should aspire to. Exceptional ale, great food at a fair price, lovely atmosphere and very friendly staff.

The Kimberley Inn, Findhorn

Very friendly, comfortable pub with good, if pricey, beer and food. The sea food and fried haddock were particularly good but why not serve this with homemade chips?? They presumably wouldn't dream of serving instant mash so why dish up frozen chips? Otherwise worth a visit.

The Crown and Anchor Inn, Findhorn

Only go here if you enjoy an argument. We waited an hour and a half for our meals (the restaurant was not busy), were told off for being too noisy while we were waiting (we weren't) and of the 5 meals served only 2 of were of a good standard - 2 were overcooked or reheated and 1 was severely oversalted. Our complaints were ignored by waiting staff and cook but illicited an aggressive and personnally insulting response from the landlord. Other diners reported similar problems and locals tell us that the landlord is well known for his poor attitude to customers. You are much better off in the Kimberly Inn across the road.

The Cherry Tree, Bromeswell

We had a thoroughly enjoyable lunch at this pub - lovely location, good ale, excellent service and outstanding food. The fish (sea bass and skate) was particularly well executed and the burgers amongst the best I have tasted. A bit pricey but sadly that seems to be the case right across Suffolk. Thoroughly recommended.

The Harbour Inn, Southwold

Although an attractive pub, the current price of 3.20 for a price of Explorer can not be justified and the fish and chips has deteriorated in quality since our first visit some 6 years ago.
