Crap. Beer slop. Noisy, full of drunks, dirty pub, seems as though a fight is waiting to happen never go there again

Since the refurb' this pub has come on leaps & bounds!! The beer is good as is the food. There is no loud music so you can hear each other speak & the place is altogether ace!

Cheap beer well kept. However you have to almost fight your way out of the front door when leaving as the doors are barred by either drunks or people smoking-Check out the photo!

beer ok. Service resonable but DON'T eat there! Food quality poor-sirloin steak supposed to be rare was overcooked. It was full of gristle, was stringy & very fatty had to leave 3/4 of it. Complined to manager who refunded my money!
During meal the pub filled with smoke from the kitchen noone knew what to do-1 staff member actually said that he'd never heard the smoke alarm siren before! No explainations given to diners & very worryingly we were not evacuated!!! Nor was there any public apology.
A crap experience in total- WILL NEVER return to the Covered Wagon.

crap, rough pub, poor service, surly staff, regulars appear all in bred. Steer clear.
