The Marquis of Granby, Epsom

Not sure about the refurb - I went in for the footie as usual and you won't find none here any more! Dark and full of wine drinking middle agers. How did they change the clientele so quickly?! Might give the continental bevvies a second look some time, but not sure I can be bothered.

Penny Black, Leatherhead

Having been to the Plough and the Tylney this place was a clear winner. Live music and a good atmosphere with it, quiz machine too. Can't remember much else, sign of a decent night out!

The Edmund Tylney, Leatherhead

Just visited for the first and only time. Popped in mostly for a feed, but they could only serve us bar food, salads and burgers. OK we thought, but then no beefburgers, and no chips. To top it off it took them 45 minutes to dish up. Probably nice for a pint or two but forget the food.

The Plough, Leatherhead

Forget the other reviews, this place is crap. Quite a walk from the town centre, scruffy and full of smoke. TV screens are hopeless, wouldn't touch the food and 3.00 for a Guinness?? Maybe the dining bit at the back is better but who wants to eat in a library?

Casa, Epsom

Pikey central in Epsom. Has no quiz machine, hopeless for watching footie, generally loud, unpleasant and full of tw*ts. But at lunchtimes this is actually quite a nice place to while away an hour with a bite and a pint of Hoegaarden.

The Barley Mow, Epsom

One of the best real pubs in Epsom. Recommended for its beer garden, range of beers and quiz. Nice ambience, food is pretty average though.
