Buffalo Joe's, Gateshead

If you ever wondered what an X-rated version of Ant&Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway would be like then come here... The "DJ" won't keep quite for 5 seconds and you soon realise why the hen do's come here. Well worth a visit but you have to be in the mood to party and get squashed since it gets rammed after 10pm.

The Waterline, Newcastle

Nice friendly bar, with a seperate area showing sky sports that has a pool table. Standard beer selection and serves excellent homemade pizza's. Worth a visit.

Eye on the Tyne, Newcastle

It has a pool table and odd painting of Shearer on the wall. Spend an hour or so in there watching the footy results come in but doubt I'll ever go back. Beer is ok... but all in all quite bland

The Pitcher and Piano, Newcastle

Well you know what you're going to get in a P&P, expensive burgers and beer, leather armchairs, women in their 20/30's looking for romanace. It's Ok but with hundreds of pubs to choose from in Newcastle you can choose plenty of better venues. It's somewhere you'd only take your mum for a bite to eat on a Sunday

Blackie Boy, Newcastle

The pub is as dark as the name, however the beer is alright and the staff are friendly enough, considering 20 "cockney's" turned up mid afternoon on a Saturday. Worth a visit if you like to drink with characture

The Blue Boar, Billericay

Good for a few cheap beers at the start of the evening and if the weather is nice then the terrace out the back is good to spend a few hours in.
Other than that it's a Weatherspoons so expect the usual... cheap ok food, cheap and drinkable real ale and a "good" cross section of society

P.S I usually drink in what used to be the freezer section?...

The Red Lion, Billericay

Generally the 30'somethings pub, that has a great atmosphere, good selection of beers and is always busy but not unpleasantly. If you're older than 25 and new to Billers then try this pub out

P.S This used to be the pub in Billers with all the brasswork on the walls that was half the size; the closing night before it's major refurb was one to remember, god knows what I did with the wall clock I was "given" that night.

Yates's, Leamington Spa

Where the stag and hen do's go.... what more do I need to say... oh I know, pass me the cheese

The Loose Box, Leamington Spa

If you are below 25 then this is the bar to be in, however beware since some of the clientele Ive see in there are closet chavs that dont get out of Leam much. On my last trip (which will probably be my last) I saw someone try to perform a press up with a pint of there head but not very well and managed to spill it over two girls, and also someone trying to catch a bottle in their mouth, again with little success.
On the brighter side the beer was cold, the music is excellent and its a nice place to be in before 10pm however if youre like me and in the over 25 (or in my case over 30) bracket then you avoid this like the plague after that time.

The Voodoo Bar, Leamington Spa

Having lived around London for a quite a few years I'd been a little spoilt for choice when it came down to bars. So I was pleasantly surprised with the number of good bars when I moved to Leam'.
This is defintely one of the better ones, if not the best bar. Good decor, friendly enough staff, plenty of eye candy and a good selection of drinks.
Haven't been there in the summer yet but with plenty of seating and standing room outside I'm sure it's excellent

TJ's Bar and Bistro (Sports Bar Cocktail bar Venue), Leamington Spa

Friendly bar, good to start your night out in, especially if you live south side of Leamington.
Shows Sky Sports and has regular DJ sessions.
Plenty of lager to choose from but no real ales.

The Blue Lias, Stockton

visit the day after New Year's Eve. It was packed, however the friendly staff did offer us a reserved table for lunch. Not an awe inspiring menu, I had the Steak and Ale pie was ok... Real ale selection was ok as well and the Boardside tasted good.
As canalside pubs go this is go for a few beers and a couple of packs of crisps not sure I'd eat there again though

The Benjamin Satchwell, Leamington Spa

Food is dodgy at best but what do you expect for these prices but the beer just about makes up for it just. The Spitfire is usually the best kept beer on offer, avoid the cheaper real ales though (yuck).

Prior to 8pm this pub is fine. i.e It not too full of students getting completly smashed on cheap beer.
However avoid it after 8pm unless your a student or in need of a cheap pint.

The Leopard Inn, Bishops Tachbrook

Excellent and friendly service with a good and interesting selection of food, which is fairly priced for the quality you are receiving. Reasonably child friendly since they have a beer garden that is fenced off. Beer is kept well and they have a good selection of real ales
