The White Horse, York

Made the mistake of staying in this pub. Opening hours displayed outside are not the hours they use.Was not served after 11 on Sunday night so went to bed and was kept awake by the landlords mates till early hours who then didn't bother to get out of bed to make breakfast. No milk or coffee in room just tea bags. Then took money out of bank account for a night we weren't there had to claim money back through Visa.

The Sharman's Cross, Solihull

Great pub, wide mixture of age groups.
Staff friendly
Beer cheap but some spirits very expensive so beware.
Entertainment on Saturday night usually very good although not to everyones taste, most seem to enjoy it.
Only complaint is it gets really warm none of the windows open!

I find it hard to eat anywhere else now. Food delicious and reasonable, have eaten there numerous times and never had a bad meal. Beers and wines varied, friendly staff

The Red Lion, Shirley

The lion is one of the few pubs I now drink in Shirley. The regulars, the staff and even the grumpy land lord are actually very friendlyas long as you don't laugh too loudly! The beer is excellent and the variety of other drinks is also good. The quiz on a Sunday night is a brilliant laugh with some random noisy clown.
