The Dove Inn, Hammersmith

I can't comment on the quality of the ales, as for various reasons I no longer drink alcohol, although the range is good. It was recommended as being good for food. I called in on a Thursday lunchtime, and the food was quickly served and of good quality, the coffee wasn't bad either.

The Willeymoor Lock Tavern, Tushingham

Serves escellent traditional pub grub and well kept real ales, in a superb canalside location.

On a sunny lunchtime entertainment is provided by inexperienced boaters trying to pass through the canal lock.

The Mill Hotel, Chester

Never had a bad pint here. Always an interesting range of beers on.

Whatch out thought it can be extremely busy on a Saturday.

The Rutland Arms, Sheffield

A good pub for a relaxing pint (or several) of normally well kept real ale. There are normally 7 ales on. However, none of them are from any of the local small breweries.

The George and Dragon, Great Budworth

This lovely pub serves up 2 usually well kept guest ales. Many of which are from smaller but well known breweries.

Penny Black, Northwich

A noisy, unpleasant barn of a place - but then the main part of the pub was the old Royal Mail sorting office. Rarely had a halfway decent pint in here.

Farmers Arms, Rudheath

Went past a couple of weeks ago. Pub closed and boarded up.

The Freemasons Arms, Northwich

A small pub with well kept ale, and a quirky landlord. There are regular guest ales from Storm Brewery in Macclesfield.
