The Bull, Otford

The Bull has a beautiful beer garden and is a nice looking pub.

But my wife and I were charged 8.75 for a pint of Kronenburg and a white wine spritzer. What a total rip off. My beer was tannic and odd tasting and the wife's wine tasted like it had been watered down slightly. They had the cheek to charge extra for the lemonade in the spritzer as well!!! I should have walked out I know but we were thirsty.

Give this over priced "pub" a wide berth. The beer is awful and the prices suck.

The Daylight Inn, Petts Wood

As a local man I don't mind the Daylight at all. The beer is reasonably priced and the pub decor is nice. They've got decent tellies to watch the footie on and a nice little beer terrace round the back. The staff are polite and I've never experienced bad service. On the slightly negative side the clientele seem to be a bit on the " Look at me, I'm Jack The Lad" sort of crowd and there have been a few punch ups at this place. But then again you get idiots everywhere you go nowadays so it's not the pubs fault. A thumbs up 7 out of 10 for me.

The Nuthouse, Eastbourne

My wife and I always pop into the nuthouse for a few jars when we are down Eastbourne. We love the decor, the pool tables and the sunny beer terrace out the back. I tend to agree with a lot of the comments on here as to the haphazard and unpredictable service we have recieved in this pub, half the time it is really friendly and welcoming and then when that sour faced ginger lady gets behind the bar she ruins it all. She is a horrible lady who needs to be retrained sharpish or just sacked. The music on the jukebox is great and they have great tellies in there to watch the footie on. This pub would get a 10/10 if they booted out some of the nasty staff and kept the good ones.

The Green Dragon, Croydon

I love this pub. A proper pub with a good selection of beers and fantastic food. (At reasonable prices too!) My wife and I always pop in when we are unfortunate to have to be in the Croydon area. This pub always lifts our spirits. Pool tables, sport on the telly and good music. Just how a pub should be. Fantastic boozer.

The Bullfinch, Riverhead

This pub used to be a proper pub but now has been done up and poncified. The beer garden is lovely, a large grassy garden with the afternoon sun streaming in. On my visits the staff were ever so friendly and polite. Two drawbacks to this lovely pub: The prices (3.54 for a pint of kroney)..not reasonable at all. Screaming spoilt rich bratty kids..I can't stand having to sit there whilst some one else's screaming brat runs around my table playing aeroplanes..take them to the park and leave us adults alone to enjoy our pints in peace.

The Broomwood, St Pauls Cray

This pub is dire. The bar staff are friendly enough and the pub looks great from the outside but once you are inside that all changes. The atmosphere is ugly and intimidating as it is full of the lower ends of the social spectrum...chavs. A real dive, do not waste your time.

The Old Crown, Edenbridge

The Crown is a nice pub with a cosy atmosphere. The decor is sort of rustic and olde worlde which adds a bit of character. I have been there quite a few times on a Friday lunchtime and I must say that I enjoy it. There is a nice beer garden out the back, although it is all paved with no grass it is still comfy. I always get good cheerful service from the bar staff, especially from Karen, who always has time for a smile and hello for the customers. All in all I would recommend this pub for a visit.

The Swan, Edenbridge

I love The Swan. It has a lovely big grassy beer garden around the back where the pub dog (a lovely black labrador) keeps you company. The staff are real friendly and the food is good. The only reason I don't go there as often as I would like is that I simply cannot afford the prices (3.35 a pint of Kroney). They seem to put them up a bit more every time I go back. Oh well, you can't win them all I suppose.

The Queens Head, Green Street Green

My wife and I really like this pub. The prices are reasonable (compared to a lot of places) and the pub is always spotlessly clean. They have a car park round the back which you do have to pay for but you get your pound refunded when you get to the bar. The staff are great and you never have to stand around long before you are served. The food is good too. They have a nice little beer garden around the back and at the front it catches all the afternoon sun as you watch the world go by. We love it.
