As you walk in off the main street you are in front of the bar and are usually greeted by andy the landlord asking what your tipple is always helpful and very chatty. To the the left is a pool table far enough out of the way so as not to be a nuisance a couple of gaming machines. To the right of the bar there is a small seating/eating area where you can enjoy some home made grub. Football rates high in this pub but as long as you choose non c u f c home gamedays its as good a pub as you'll get

The Abbey Arms, Colchester

been in many times mostly in the middle of the day landlord and staff very friendly excellent food and good value for money pool table at rear dartboard the usual pub amenities toilets dont even smell go and smell if you dont believe me

The Bear Tavern, Newburgh

the review from 17feb 2005 is pretty accurate open fire good food you can sit away from the bar or be in the middle of a nice chatty friendly atmosphere

not my regular but have been in it at lunch time only however it had the full mix of clientelle from office staff through to working class toffs like meself nice atmosphere could have been cleaner but not dirty as such nice happy barmaid as for food never asked but woud'nt if they had personally but for a few beers as good as any

The Auld Hoose, Perth

a rough and ready pub but i mean that in the nicest way nice atmosphere people sitting chatting ,laughing etc a good auld fashioned ale hoose you go in for a drink and thats what you get lady behind bar was very pleasant and efficient

was up from england on holiday but hasten to say am a scot could have been a bad day but staff grudgingly served me and the atmosphere was dead to say the least
