The New Inn, Ham

This 250-year-old 'new' pub is beautifully sited opposite Ham Common and close to Richmond Park. Nice choice of beers and food generally above average. Great atmosphere with tables out front and beer garden around the back. A bit touristy but also popular with locals and cyclists.

The Turks Head, St Margarets

Just off the A316 (Chertsey Rd) and just a dogleg on the route from Twickenham Station to the rugby stadium, this is a sometimes crowded but always good-natured favourite with rugby supporters. Excellent staff, good beer.

Black Boy, Shinfield

Friendly Greene King pub with variable menu, pleasant beergarden and plenty of parking, deceptively close to the M4.
