The Green Man, Winchester

well done for the real ale, however can say it is a shame for a "real" as the last person it not to have sport on tv. (oh apart from the tiny portable in the corner). Not all sports pubs are bad boozers. Food ok, not great though and done at strange times of the week.

The Exchange, Winchester

I agree entirely with most of the previous comments. It could be a nice place except the staff, rudeness and sometimes the clientele make for a terrible experience in this pub.
Food poisoning is a shame and hopefully a one of mistake - however as for the surly barmaids this is a dead certainty!
I do however believe the market and Alfies are owned by the same chap so what does that say anout a captured market??!!

Bell Inn, Winchester

I have to say a very nice pub to visit - ( i am a competing landlord) but definitely can't complain if people visited this pub. The staff and owners are friendly and the food served if a very high standard. One to visit.

The Eclipse Inn, Winchester

Visited on a sunday evening - 2 people in bar us. The beer was quite disgusting and warm (fosters - not hard to keep) We were not acknowleged at all and received very bad service. I will not be retuning here.

Alfies, Winchester

Recently visited this pub about 4 weeks ago - possibly the worst pub i have ever drunk in. The stench from sick and beer not cleaned up made us stand outside in the pouring rain to drink our drink. The drink was also warm. It seems to be the "IN" place to be, which i cant understand as it not cheap either. ONE TO AVOID.

Queens College Arms, Tadley

Terrible Hall and Woodhouse beer
"Hofbrau" larger taste like Horse P**S and is sooo expensive
Very spacious pub though.

The Oak, Oakridge

This pub is part of the new estate they built.
Used to have a big problem with trouble but since they had bouncers and now a tougher landlord the trouble really has stopped.
The pub decor is in really good nick - lots of tv's for the football. Jukebox, Fruit Machines.
Although the food is not homemade it is VERY reasonably priced. 2 meals for 4.95 - excellent.

The Six Bells, Newdigate

Nice pub with cracking facilities for kids. The food is great and home cooked. Unfortunately the larger served is "Hofbrau" (something similar to horse ****)and is a bit expensive.

The Surrey Oaks, Newdigate

Went to this pub after visiting the curry house across the road. I have never received such bad service in all my life. We waited so long to try and get served whilst the landlord just stood staring at us that in the end we turned round and walked out.
Don't go here if you want to actually get a pint this century.

The Royal Arms, Heath End

Nice pub with outside playing area and large car park - wasn't sure what to have off the menu as it had about 60 choices but food did look ok.

The Prince Alfred, Upper Hale

This looks like a social club out of shameless - completely out of character for Farnham and Surrey

The Alma, Heath End

The Alma is a great looking pub with good beer and a reasonably priced food menu - shame about the current miserable sod of a relief manager - cant wait for a real landlord to come back.
