The Crown, Odiham

This pub has been closed for some time.

The Waterwitch, Odiham

Sadly, the place has completely lost it's soul.
Before it was franchised to a 'Chef and Brewer', I was told it was the best pub in the area.

It is now "England Anywhere", saved only by it's location.

If you plan to visit, make sure the weather is good and take a seat in the large beer garden by the canal.

The food is what you would expect from a franchise establishment - lacking in imagination. About all I can say is that it's edible, overpriced and served without care.

The staff are simply business like, there's no personal touch at all.

A pity, because the location is perfect.

The Bell, Odiham

This is a VERY local pub, but friendly all the same. If you happen to visit on a warm day, the location in the historic Bury is worth it alone.

It's the type of pub where there are more locals than visitors, which makes it interesting, but possibly intimidating for some people.

The service is friendly, the food is traditional - in fact, the entire pub experience is a blast from the past.

The George, Odiham

The location is great on a sunny day - outside on the High Street of the historic town of Odiham, watching the world go by.

It's not a fantastic pub, but worth a visit. The food on my visits has been standard pub fare and the staff are friendly.

The Queen's Head, Dogmersfield

Good pub, especially on warm sunny days. There's a large garden area out front where you can watch people come and go - it's a very busy set of country lanes.

The food is reasonable and the service is friendly.

The Chequers Inn, Well

St_Guido below must've gone on a bad day!

I've been to The Chequers five or six times and every time service has been quick.

The food is GOOD solid, healthy PUB food. It's great quality and very tasty. If your looking for nouvel cuisine, this is a PUB and is not the place for such things.

There's a number of great brews on tap, there's no fruit machines, TV sets or other irritating distractions and it's slap bang in the heart of the country, with outside seating perfect for summer.

What more could you want?
