The Filo (First In Last Out), Hastings

Superb pub with it's own micro-brewery. Friendly staff compliment friendly regulars. This pub is always busy & it's no surprise. Shame I don't live a bit closer.

The Red Lion, Blue Town

Absolutely superb pub. Three guest ales rotated weekly. Aidan the landlord is a great host & the regulars are very welcoming. Well worth a visit if you find yourself in this part of the world. All pubs should be like this.

Harty Ferry Inn, Sheerness

Bizarrely styled pub at the end of a five mile twisty & rutted lane. Very remote but popular in the summer for it's food (which is good but they only offer a comparitive limited menu & is quite pricey).

The Priory Hotel, Dover

First time I went in there, there were some meths drinkers having a comical punchup. Second time, the whole place reeked of cat's piss. Conversely, landlord & landlady are very friendly and the beer was good (but no real ales). You could do a lot worse than this in Dover & it is after all handy for the station.

The Eight Bells, Dover

What a shithole. As is common with all of these McPubs, if all you're looking for is the cheapest booze then you'll be fine, otherwise give it a miss.

The Golden Lion, Dover

Great boozer. Moved to Dover last year and this was one of the last pubs we visited. Great landlord who immediately makes you feel welcome. Two good real ales as well. The pub is a little on the tatty side but don't let appearances put you off, if only more pubs were like this.

The Eardley Arms, Belvedere

With sharmain on this one. It could be a really good traditional boozer but is let down by the landlord & his pikey mates.

Harrow, Erith

Cheap beer & reasonable food. Nice landlord let down by poor service from the bar staff. Lots of big screen tellys for the footie.

The Royal Oak, Northumberland Heath

Friendly boozer. Good beer. Good mix of ages. Nice to see that this pub has kept the 3 bar layout. Recommended.
