The Rising Sun, Hampton Hill

It's been a little while since we visited the Rising Sun, but having popped by this weekend, I am so glad to see that the pub continues to thrive, even during these tricky times.

Fish and chips were delicious, and my husband remarked that the range of draught has vastly improved, (Staropramen, San Miguel and Peroni).

Is it really two years already since the new owners took over? It's an absolute jem everyone! Keep up the good work!!!

Man_on_ground: Were we even in the same pub? I've been to several of the karaoke events at the Rising Sun and I think they are brilliant! I even noticed that the old Karaoke guy had turned up to have a sing! Maybe the fact that all your previous messages on here relate to Karaoke are a pure coincidence, or maybe you are the other Karaoke guy? Who knows! Looking forward to the final guys... is it true that a famous record producer is one of the judges?

The Roebuck, Hampton Hill

This pub mezmerises me with the amount of memorabilia you can get it into one pub! Personally I don't mind the crazy decor, but love it / hate it, you'll definitely remember it, particular the lovely courtyard garden.

Joes Bar and Restaurant, Hampton Hill

Passed Joe's the other night as it has had a make-over. I have to say it looks really nice, and has a new name "La Familia". Can't comment further as I haven't been in yet, but certainly looks much better than before from the outside in.

Went into the RS on Saturday for their "official" opening. What a fantastic night! The place was buzzing like a beehive. The singer / guitarist Jorge made the night extra special too!!!

The Rising Sun, Hampton Hill

I have only recently moved to the area and have visited several of the pubs in Hampton Hill. The Rising Sun is by far my favourite.

I did see the pub before its recent makeover and what used to be dingy, old fashioned and, to be honest, a bit rough, it now clean, bright and all round a very pleasant environment to spend your time and hard earned cash.

The new management are very friendly, eager to listen, and I'm deighted to say, keen to see the pub continue to improve and evolve. This change has obviously impressed some of the locals too as it is now busier than ever!!!!

I love it!!! 10 out of 10 from me!!!!
