Stanley Arms, Blackpool

Nice place for a quiet drink on an early afternoon and also good entertainment on an evening for little money! Money in is usally around 2 and it costs nothing to reserve a table.

Roy Rolland is one to catch on an afternoon. Very funny comedian/singer and also raises money for charity.

Not a huge choice for real ale, but lots of bottled and draught beers on offer. Not too bad for price either, not for Blackpool!

Churchills Bar, Blackpool

Love this pub!
The real ales are nice - such as the Bombardier and the Spitfire. The other beers are priced ok for Blackpool.

Entertainment is worth a look - very amusing at times!
Old Frankie Whittle is a living legend!

The Coach and Horses, Weatheroak Hill

Simply one of the best pubs in the West Midlands!

Fantastic real ales on offer and the food is lovely! The homemade faggots is deffinately one to sample.

They host some brilliant ales, such as JHB and Icknield Pale Ale and also host guest ales.

Toilets are clean, service is good and the beer garden is perfect in the summer months. Also has outside heaters who those smokers amongst you!

Dogs allowed on the lead - in the beer garden and also the bar area, with water supplied.

Can't fault it!

The Adventurers, Aston

Fantastic atmosphere in this pub! Been in on match days and the supporters are always friendly and in good voice!

The best of all Villa pubs by the ground!

The Railway, Birmingham

Very cheap for drinks, but not a pub for a night out.
Only good for a pit stop on the way to the next pub!

Rose Villa Tavern, Birmingham

Working in the Jewellery Quarter myself, it is of universal opinion around the trade that this pub has the potential to be a great pub!

It has some lovely Victorian features, which sadly get ignored due to the fact that it carries a reputation of being a bit unclean.

The toilets are nothing short of awful. This is one thing that seriously needs to be addressed and sooner rather than later.

The food is ok. The food is well priced and for the money you get what you pay for. It's not as good quality as other local pubs/bars, but its ok for a quick snack.

The beer can be hit and miss, which is also a shame. I personally feel that somewhat dingy pubs are often the better places to find a good pint. This pub is not one of those unfortunately.

This pub is now up for sale and hopefully someone with a bit of vision can bring this pub back to former glory, without taking away any of it's Victorian charm.

Dragon Inn, Birmingham

Nice pub for a quick pint or two!

The food is slightly better than other wetherspoons in Birmingham city centre, but can still be a bit hit and miss.

Get's very busy when a show is on at the Hippodrome, which ultimately makes getting in the door very difficult, let alone getting served.

Worth a visit, as it is new and a lot nicer than other wetherspoons in the area.

Note - those small people of the population may struggle in this pub as the bar is about 5, 5" tall!

The Crown, Birmingham

Pablos sums this pub up in two words, those words being " eclectic mixture".
Not only is there an eclectic mixture of people who populate this pub every weekend, but also an eclectic mixture of music on their popular disco night every Saturday.

Always have a good laugh in this pub. The ladies toilets are not as bad as what i believe the gents to be and the beer is not badly priced for Birmingham city centre.

Look out for any themed nights, as they always put on a great evening.

If you are looking for modern gastro pub then stay away from The Crown.
If you like "proper" old fashioned boozers then it's a thumbs up (if you can look past its rough and ready appearence).
