I came mid-week after work one day, and it was not too busy.
The bartender was incredibly nice, even offered me a choice between a pint glass and a tankard. A tankard! Brilliant.
When some beer has overflowed the tankard a small bit, the bartender clean the side with a some water from the spritzer. It is that type of detail to customers that sets this pub apart. Even though I wasnt't too bothered with some overspilled beer.
The beer was good too.

Great decor inside, one of the best beer gardens in Camden. Beers are not too bad.
The worst thing is the service. It is comparable to molasses, especially Thursdays and Fridays after work.

Great pub. Great beers. Fantastic atmosphere. I highly recommend going on a Friday night when the trad jazz band plays. One of the best pubs in London! Not to miss.

The Pitcher And Piano, Islington
Why anyone would want to go into this establishment--when there are a plethora of good pubs on Upper Street--is beyond me. The place is a wannabe club, with blaring music cut from Radio One, and very expensive drinks. Yes there are plenty of good looking people here, but if you want atmosphere go anywhere else. (there are good looking people in other bars/pubs in Islington too). Avoid at all costs.

The Camden Head, Islington
Decent pub, with a nice interior and well placed beer garden. Some good guest ales.
The downside is the galacial service
