The Horse and Jockey, Hazel Grove

There early on a Saturday. Fortunately left before the inevitable fight broke out. Unles you are 6ft 4in+, best avoided.

The Cock Hotel, Hazel Grove

Clearly visited by the writers of Viz to gather characters for the mag. Scary, but the beer was OK.

The Prince Of Wales, Iffley

Great little old-fashioned pub. The 6X was excellent and the food well cooked. Friendly barman too!

The Mitre, Windsor

Been there quite a few times. The beer has always been as clear as a bell, so maybe anonymous was just unlucky. Good place to watch football, with a big screen and other TVs round the pub.

The Criterion, Windsor

One of the few 'proper' pubs left down Pescod Street/St Leonard's Road. Worth visiting if you like honest to goodness locals' boozers.

The Alma, Windsor

I hadn't been to the Alma for some years. It has improved immeasurably. Good Fuller's Beer very nice friendly atmosphere - it won't be so long before I return.
