The Red Cow, Peckham

I stumbled on this little gem after a game of La Crosse at the Pulse. The Stella was refreshing and the al fresco situ provided a perfect opportunity to view the rugged concrete wasteland opposite. Keep up the good work you absolute cow.

The Duke Of Wellington, Portobello Road

I imagined having to blow the ruby dust and humming-bird feathers out of the froth on my Jamacican lager when I was told the price. Maybe it's augmented with cavaiar or possibly there is a pipe in the cellar which pumps it all the way from the West Indies.

Hmm, there must be some good reason why it costs over FOUR POUNDS a pint.

The Coach and Horses, Clapham

In my humble opinion this place was far better when it was the Acre Tavern. There is a touch of nouveau silliness about it now.

The Windmill, Acton

Our party did not sustain any casualties.

The Shoelaces, Leyton

One of the few places I have witnessed a literal "chucking out". Proximity to the Leisure Lagoon lends an exotic flavour. Keep your wits about you.

The Eagle, Ladbroke Grove

I preferred this place when they had a Puzzle Bobble machine in the corner. Men have been wearing daring sock and slipper combinations in this establishment for quite some time now so I think it's churlish to say that the vibrancy of the area hasn't spilled over into the bar. The Stella can be offish but you won't see me complaining. Keep up the good work chaps.
