The Old Ale Emporium, Harringay

Arguably the best pub name i can think of. It has no old ales. It has lots of empty casks on display; but no full full ones behind the bar - just the usual brand crap. Decors great locations spot on. It has no old ales. Feels very much like it was destined for greater things.

The Oakdale Arms, Harringay

A walk from where i live but this place encourages me to get my boots on now and then. Its great to see some diversity on the pumps, not all the brews are brilliant but theres always one or two that you can spend the night with! Always feels a bit empty though especially considering its so large - looking forward to the festival!

The Blarney Stone, Finsbury Park

An interesting pub, id consider it my local but it just lacks that certain somthing. Dissapontingly they have a murphys pump but only serve guinesss (which is nice enough, but annoyingly ubiquitous) Decor is good, but the place is usually eerily quiet apart from the handfull of admirably committed locals.

The landlord once came round giving out homegrown grapes from the garden! Much appreciated! Staff are friendly and down to earth.

Take a look you'll be glad you did. (Ask for a Murphys... :)

Mabel's Tavern, Euston

Best pub in the area - A quiet sunday drink to recover from the weekend should be had nowhere else. Try Bishops Finger if you havnt already!

The Rocket, Euston

As a social focal point its unbeatable on the weekend, its saterday discount vs Central tariffs is an offer you cant refuse, but during the day the prices are bafflingly prohibitive. Don't know why people keep recommending the Euston Flyer, its got all the charm of a wetherspoons without the price concessions - My advice: Go to Mabels Tavern just over the road down marchmont street and get a pint of Bishops Finger.
