Going to have to rate this pub 10. Simply because it delivers everything it says it does. Great real ale kept to near perfection, great lager. I won't comment on the wine as it is not a wine bar/bistro.Good pub grub and dog friendly!
I read some of Davidfthorns other reviews on pubs, he drinks JD and lemonade ('nuff said!) and at a guess I would say his favourite pub might be a whetherspoons.
Next beer festival is April 29!

There's alot to like about this pub, go for the food(best to check serving times), go for the cider, go the the ale! Another pkus is that it is dog friendly. Lovely location and excellent service.

I've now been visiting this pub for about 2years. Still lovely as ever. Having the bus stop just outside is very handy! You can drink a pint while you wait and can hail the bus down from the garden.
Beer is consistently good, very fews pubs in the area to rival the condition of the beers. The Landlord also runs beers fests on the Bank holidays. Pop in and check the notices for the next one.

Lovely Ale pub. Best for a few miles around. Has Timothy Tayler Landlord as a regular beer with two rotating guests that turn over pretty quick. Food menu presents a very reasonable choice and prices are excellent. Try the Locally sourced Free Range steak!

PS Lager is good too.
