The Eel Pie, Twickenham

Very disappointed with what has happened to this pub. It has lost that family feel and on my visit the bar staff forgot about my order and made me wait while they served food. The food. Oh dear. It was terrible. Frozen fish and chips that looked like it came from a Findus package in 1985. I thought Britain's food had progressed since then. Clearly not. Macaroni cheese wihout cheese. A microwave meal and a very poor one. Do not eat here under any circumstances as you will be ripped off

The Rye Pub, Dining Room and Garden, Peckham Rye

Has a large and lovely garden. I had high hopes on Bank Holiday sunday.

However, we ordered some food. We waited. We chased our starters and were told they were coming in a rather off hand manner. We waited. We noticed others around us getting agitated with their wait. We chased our order. We waited. We chased. About 40 minutes later our starters and main courses arrived together. We sent back the now useless starters to be confronted by two staff asking us why. We sent them away. We are some OK food.

The bar staff were constantly under pressure, not knowing who to serve despite being well staffed. Then the denoument, I went to the gents toilet. Over flowing urinals and floors covered in piss.

Based on my visit this pub is poorly run and dirty. I would not recommend a visit at all.

The Brew Wharf, London Bridge

Totally without soul, always takes an age to get served. The staff ignore the waiting hordes at the bar in favour of polishing glasses. No need to go here, ever.

The Cocoanut, Kingston Upon Thames

A good vibrant pub in Kingston, the only one in fact. Plays good music, friendly staff and a good crowd. No hair gel in sight.

The Alwyne Castle, Islington

A nice pub with a good range of beers, decent food. Shame about inattentive staff, one rather surly, and it taking absolutely ages to get served even when the pub is far from busy. A shame. I'll give it another go but will take some convincing.

The Duke of Clarence, Islington

Don't think there is a quiz anymore, just some wonderful entertainment from the hostest with the mostest.
