The Royal Oak, Brownhills

I'm not generally too hard to please, but didnt like this place on a midweek evening, and as an Irishman who will drink anywhere thats saying something. I can imagine it was great in its heyday, but that has sadly passed.

Nice pub, typical pub food, good selection of beer, friendly staff & locals, what else do you want?

Pleasant enough pub, didnt eat there but from the food I saw I probably would if I went back. Not the best pint Ive ever had, but nowhere near the worst.

Good food, reasonable selection of drinks, bit over priced in my opinion.

The Yard, Newmarket

A proper pub, a hidden gem of what pubs used to be like. Was recommended by a friend as the best pint of Guinness for miles, he wasnt wrong. Dont get to Newmarket very often but will make a point of going back next time i'm over.
