Called after work on a Wednesday not many people in but Wye Valley HPA excellent, but why is it priced much more than at "The Barrels"

Possibly the best beer in Bishops Castle called in on Good Friday tea time for a couple of pints of Cloud Nine.

The Boars Head, Bishops Castle
Great to see a pub being used by all of the community, was in for Easter Sunday lunch this is the third year running. They had three beers on Tunnfield Devils Chair this wasn't to my taste , Wadworth Bishops Tipple this was ok & Theakstons Best didn't try this.
The food was very good & well served.

Unfortunately closed when we visited after the Test match, do not know if this is a temporary closure or permanent.

To correct the last post the "Coachmakers" now open but for how long we don't know due to the city councils mental redevelopment proposal, don't allow this to happen to the best pub in Hanley posibly the potteries.
I was in last week with a group of friends on a very cold Thursday night, there were quite a few people in and an excellent pint of Brekspear Oxford gold. That good I had several.

What an excellent pub & restaurant this is, came upon by accident driving around on a sunday afternoon even though they had offically closed we were still welcomed inside by the landlord. We were so impressed by the welcome & the quaility of the beer that we returned the following friday evening to sample the food, which was also excellent quality & value. If only more places were like this

When for a meal very good value all freshly prepared washed down with two pints of St. Austell Proper Job.
