The Pub With No Name, Brighton

Good food, good pub, little bit too pncey for it's own good but has balls to back it up so not as bad as it could be.

Roasts are damn fine :)

The Mash Tun, Brighton

Bloody noisy, bloody crowded. Suits students and when you want a big party (finished my 29th in there).

Only go when that's all you want tho :)

The Lord Nelson, Brighton

Crappy tables and seating but otherwise a nice oldschool pub, not too loud, lot's of beers and an 'interesting' layout - give it a go :) 7/10

The Hobgoblin, Brighton

Used to be the best pub for rock, metal, ska - good friends and a great atmospere, then the arse dropped out of the place with a series of mismanagement errors and managers themselves. - Go to the Caroline Of Brunswick instead for everything this place was + food.

The Freebutt, Brighton

Rubbish layout for bands, typical brighton 'rustic', as in falling apart, has some atmospere tho - bands really are hit and miss but can be great - worth a pop :)

The George, Brighton

used to be great ten years ago, now the foods crap, the servicce is crap and it's full of new-brightonians, best avoided, shame as it used to be my regular :)

As posted before their Veggie USP is sorely worn now - far better places to eat and drink in our fine town.

The Cobblers Thumb, Brighton

Mediocre, alright but not brilliant, usual boring range of beers + gents is genuinelky falling apart, nice collection of Aussie tat decorating the place tho which is good. Bad seating - 5/10

The Smugglers, Brighton

Skockingly bad - all of the nice old seats and great creative stuff hanging off the ceiling, so have the (and I'm serious here, I miss them) great stuffed squirells :( Over priced burgers (8 squids? come on!).

Disgusting modern soulless place, not fit for anyone but the Event Creation townie nightclub clientelle that this place now serves as a pre dance watering hole for.

Only thing they kept and is good is the cladding of the lower pool section in the 80 year old babysham box sides :) Oh the pool tables are better now but they cost 1.20 for a game on small tables with fat american pool balls.

Over all loosing this place was a crime

The Reservoir, Brighton

Soulless, polished pine and leather sofas hell hole. Never visit if you like a little ambience...

Hop Poles, Brighton

Not sure how old the other people leaving the comments are, but the people you think are students are actually the general Brighton Population ;) The students don't have the money to hit this pub, it's actually more of the trendy set that visits.

Regardless of that it's a good friendly pub, food was better than average lat time I ate there and they sell Tuaca, so double thumbs up from me.
