The Town Hall Bar, Larne

RIP, now Caffe Spice.

The Station Bar, Larne

Would be totally average were it not for the fact that the regulars are not the sort of men you want to mess with. Subsequently you can't relax until about the 4th pint.

The Olderfleet Hotel, Larne

Lovely place, been around since the year dot. Good drinks, good music, good craic, good location, good interior etc etc. My second choice.

The Meeting House, Larne

Never been for solely drinks, but the food is reasonably priced and excellent quality. Worth it for that alone, even if it is a tad out of the way.

The Kiln, Larne

Overpriced, but lovely interior. Don't know if it was just me, but I found the staff fairly arrogant and distant. Now strictly over-21s, but no great loss.

The Eagle Bars, Larne

Cheap, huge inside, good staff, nice mix of people and usually top quality music, which is why it's now my local. The only bugger is the lack of a late license, but Dan's is just round the corner.

The Crossways Bar, Larne

Tiny, busy and in the middle of nowhere. Wouldn't make the effort to visit again, to be honest.

Billy Andys, Larne

Bit of a dive and literally in the middle of nowhere, but the drink is cheap, they now serve food and it's very good craic.

The Bailie, Larne

Used to be one of the best bars in Larne, attracting a good crowd of 20-40 yearolds and all the old fellas from the King's Arms round the corner. Also good for late night parties in the carpark round the back. Then it closed, and our dreams were shattered.
